Dear Members of the YADO Board of Directors,
We are writing to express our heartfelt gratitude for the support and educational opportunities provided to our daughter through the Young Artists Debut Orchestra and its affiliated programs. Now in her third year with YADO, we have seen firsthand how a thoughtfully designed, mission-driven music program can nurture not only musical growth, but also confidence, discipline, and genuine joy.
During the school year, our daughter participates in YADO’s core program and has also taken part in the Summer Music Academy. She began in Genesis Strings and has since advanced into the Strings of the Heart Orchestra (SOHO), where she continues to thrive. This progression reflects both her own dedication and the care with which YADO guides students forward through consistent ensemble rehearsals, professional mentorship, and high standards of musical excellence. The quality of teaching, organization, and performance opportunities have deepened her musicianship and appreciation for classical music in ways we did not imagine possible.
Equally meaningful has been the support provided through the Instruments of Hope sister nonprofit. Access to a high-quality violin—far beyond what we could reasonably provide as a family—has played an important role in her development and beautifully reflects YADO’s commitment to equity and accessibility in arts education.
Beyond musical growth, YADO has offered our daughter a strong sense of belonging. She has formed quality friendships within the program that we believe will last for years to come. We are also grateful for YADO’s emphasis on community outreach, including small ensemble performances at local nursing homes, which allow students to share their music, give back, and engage in meaningful multigenerational connection.
We are sincerely grateful for the generosity and leadership that make YADO possible. Your support creates real opportunity, lasting community, and meaningful impact for families like ours, and we are thankful to be part of a program so thoughtfully stewarded.
